Diary 2007. 1. 18. 16:14남들은 사회에서 젊은 중견이 되어가는 나이에
내 길이 아니라는 이유로 좋은 직장 버리고 다시 스타트라인으로 되돌아가고 있는 제 자신을 보면서
'시작하기에 너무 늦은 일은 없다' 라는 말이 맞는 말이기를 바래봅니다.
작년... 서른다섯 먹고 나서야 내가 정말 하고 싶은게 뭔지 처음으로 고민해봤습니다.
아직 그 밑그림도 다 그리지 못했고 그리는 속도 또한 남들보다 더디지만...
다른 사람들의 눈엔 완성된 그림이 초등학생이 그린 그림처럼 보인다고 하더라도
꼭 한번 내 손으로 그림을 완성해보고 싶습니다.
비록 비슷한 연배의 사람들은 물감을 칠하고 있는 반면
저는 연필로 스케치했던 밑그림 조차 지우고 있는 상황이긴 하지만요.
내게 앞으로 살아갈 날들이 지난 살아온 날들보다 더 짧게 남아있다 해도
'시작하기에 너무 늦은 일'은 없기를 바래봅니다.
